The listing describes the mats as tightly woven, sturdy, non-slip, and heat-resistant, and says they help protect table surfaces from burns and scratches.
The natural tones and varied weave texture suit rustic, farmhouse, and boho table settings. The listing also suggests using them as coasters, pot holders, or decorative bases. Choose this set if those multipurpose uses and table-protection claims matter to you. A limitation is the eight-piece count, which may not cover a larger gathering.

60-Pack 12-Inch Bulrush Mats
Best for: event organizers, large households, or buyers who need a substantial number of matching mats. The listing identifies 60 hand-woven, 12-inch round mats made from natural bulrush. It also describes them as heavy-duty and says they come in a flat-packed storage box.
This is the largest set in the selection, making it more suitable for bulk needs than a small dining area. Its 12-inch diameter is smaller than the 13- and 13.5-inch options, so compare plate dimensions and available table space before choosing. The provided details do not state cleaning or heat-protection instructions.

Buying Guide: How to Choose Round Wicker Table Mats
What size placemat should you choose?
Check the mat diameter against the plate and the space available at each place setting. The options here range from 12 inches to 13.5 inches. A larger mat can provide more surface coverage, while a smaller one may leave more room on a crowded table. Measure your usual plate and tabletop layout before ordering.
How many mats do you need?
Count the seats you use regularly, then consider whether you want extras for guests or replacements. Sets of eight and 10 are suited to smaller household needs than the 24-, 36-, and 60-piece options. Larger packs can serve frequent entertaining, but take storage space into account.
Which material and care details matter?
Water hyacinth and bulrush are the listed natural materials in these choices. Product details vary: BAVIFY provides damp-cloth and crumb-removal instructions, while the Xiomot listing describes heat resistance and non-slip construction. Do not assume every woven mat has the same care requirements or protective performance. Review the individual listing for missing details.
Are wicker placemats suitable for hot dishes?
Only rely on a heat-resistance claim when it is stated for the specific product. Xiomot’s listing describes its mats as heat-resistant, but the other supplied product details do not establish that feature. For hot cookware, check the manufacturer’s instructions and use a dedicated trivet when needed.
