The best now playing DVD stand depends on whether you want a purpose-made movie-case holder, a decorative record display, or a clear multipurpose easel. The two personalized movie stands below are designed to hold standard DVD and Blu-ray cases; the ZOEY acrylic easels offer a less conspicuous display option. The wood record stands are better suited to buyers who want a decorative, multifunctional holder and are considering displaying a DVD case alongside other media.

Custom Now Showing Movie Case Stand
This tabletop holder is made for displaying movie cases, Blu-ray cases, and video game cases. Its compact footprint measures 4 inches high, 6.8 inches wide, and 3.7 inches deep. It holds items up to 0.6 inches thick, making that thickness limit an important check before buying.
Best for: Buyers who want a purpose-made DVD stand with a personalized look. Choose it if you want to select a two-color combination from 26 available colors. It can also hold art prints and other larger items, according to the product details.
Limitation: The stated maximum item thickness is 0.6 inches. Check the case dimensions before ordering if your case is unusually thick.
NiHome Retro Wood Display Stand
NiHome describes this as a wood stand for displaying vinyl records, with a retro look and natural wood veneer. The listed uses also include photo albums, magazines, and other collectibles. Its flexible display purpose may suit a room where a DVD case is one part of a broader media or decor arrangement.
Best for: Buyers who prioritize a wood aesthetic and want a holder that can display different kinds of media. It was selected as a decorative alternative to dedicated movie-case stands.
Limitation: The product information focuses on vinyl records and does not specify DVD-case dimensions or a thickness limit. Confirm that your intended case can sit securely before choosing it specifically for DVDs.
Heather & Willow Wooden Now Playing Stand
This handcrafted and hand-painted wooden shelf is designed to showcase record cover art. The listing describes its design as minimalistic and says it is intended to display records while they are playing. Its “NOW PLAYING” styling makes it a decorative choice for a media area.
Best for: Buyers looking for a handcrafted wooden display with a clear now-playing theme. It is a better fit for shoppers who value the look of a dedicated media accessory over documented DVD-specific measurements.
Limitation: The listed details describe vinyl display use and do not state DVD compatibility, dimensions, or a maximum item thickness. Check the product information if you need a precise fit for a movie case.
Custom Retro Theater Movie Stand
This tabletop movie-case stand shares the same listed dimensions as the other custom holder: 4 inches high, 6.8 inches wide, and 3.7 inches deep. It holds items up to 0.6 inches thick and is described as suitable for standard DVD and Blu-ray cases, video game cases, art prints, and larger items.
Best for: Buyers who want a personalized movie display with a retro theater theme. Select it if a two-color combination from 26 available colors is part of your decision.
Limitation: The 0.6-inch maximum thickness may not accommodate every oversized case. Compare your case’s thickness with the listed limit first.
ZOEY Clear Acrylic Easel Stands
This five-pack of small clear acrylic easels is listed for DVDs, books, magazines, photos, and small artworks. The wide base is designed to sit on a tabletop, while the displayed item tilts slightly backward. Clear acrylic keeps the support visually understated compared with a colored or wooden stand.
Best for: Buyers who need multiple simple display supports or prefer a transparent design. Choose this option for a flexible display setup across a home, office, shop window, or exhibition space.
Limitation: The listing identifies these as small easels but does not provide dimensions or a maximum case thickness in the supplied details. Verify size suitability if your DVD case is large or heavy.
Buying Guide: How To Choose A Now Playing DVD Stand
Do you need a stand made specifically for DVD cases?
Start with the product’s stated media compatibility. The two custom movie stands explicitly list standard DVD and Blu-ray cases, as well as video game cases. The other options are described primarily for vinyl records or as general-purpose easels. If a secure, predictable fit matters most, favor a stand with stated case compatibility and dimensions.
Will your case fit the holder?
Measure the case’s thickness and compare it with the product limit. Both custom movie stands list a maximum thickness of 0.6 inches. For the NiHome, Heather & Willow, and ZOEY options, the supplied product information does not give DVD-specific fit measurements. Avoid assuming that a display intended for records or small artworks will fit every DVD case.
Which material and style suit your room?
Choose the custom stands if color personalization and a movie-focused display are priorities. Consider the wood options if you want the stand to complement a record collection or home decor. Clear acrylic is the less visually prominent choice and comes as a five-pack, but its listed details do not establish a precise DVD fit.
Are you displaying one case or several?
The custom movie stands are described as individual tabletop holders. The ZOEY listing provides five easels, which may suit a display needing multiple supports. The wood stands are presented as holders for records and assorted items; check the seller’s product details for size and capacity before planning a specific arrangement.
