For an ironing board measuring 150 x 55 cm, check the cover’s stated fit range before buying: that size is about 59 x 21.7 inches, and none of the listed products is an exact match. The Dalykate 21 x 57-inch cover is the closest option by width, but it is shorter than 150 cm. The Whitmor and blue 15 x 54-inch covers may suit narrower boards. Measure your board’s usable surface and compare it with the product dimensions before ordering.

Dalykate Extra-Large 21 x 57-Inch Cover
Best for: Buyers with a wide ironing board close to the stated fit range of 19–21 inches wide and 55–57 inches long. At 21 x 57 inches, this is the closest listed option to a 150 x 55 cm board in width, but it is about two inches shorter than 150 cm.
The cover has cotton fabric described as scorch- and stain-resistant, up to 6 mm of synthetic fiber and foam padding, and a heat-reflective layer. A protective mesh cloth is included for delicate fabrics. The extra padding is intended to help reduce mesh marks from the board.
Limitation: It is not a confirmed fit for a 150 x 55 cm board; its stated maximum length is shorter. Measure the board carefully, and note that the ironing board is not included.
Whitmor Cover With 6 mm Fiber Pad
Best for: Owners of standard boards measuring 13–15 inches wide and 52–54 inches long. Its stated dimensions may suit a board narrower and shorter than 150 x 55 cm, but it is not sized for the full target dimensions.
The Whitmor cover pairs 88 gsm fabric with a 6 mm fiber pad. Two hook-and-loop straps and an elastic bungee help hold it in place, which may be useful for frequent ironing. The listed features also describe the cover as fire-resistant.
Limitation: Its fit range tops out at 54 inches long and 15 inches wide. Avoid choosing it for a 150 x 55 cm board unless your measured ironing surface falls within that range.
GORILLA GRIP Padded Silver Cover
Best for: Buyers with a small 13 x 43-inch board who prioritize a reflective surface and a cover designed to resist heat, scorching, water, and stains. The silicone-coated surface is described as reflecting heat, while elastic edging and two hook-and-loop straps help secure it.
The product listing states heat and scorch resistance up to 400 degrees. These features make it a distinct option for small-board owners looking for extra resistance and a snug attachment system.
Limitation: At 43 inches long, it is substantially shorter than a 150 cm board. It is not a suitable dimensional match for the target size.
TIVIT Alumitek PRO 15 x 48-Inch Cover
Best for: Buyers with a 15 x 48-inch board seeking a cover advertised with thick, four-layer padding. The product name also identifies an Alumitek PRO heat-reflective surface and scorch- and stain-resistant properties.
This option may be considered for a compact board where layered padding is a priority. Its stated measurements make the fit assessment straightforward for owners of boards in that size range.
Limitation: The listed 48-inch length and 15-inch width are far below the dimensions of a 150 x 55 cm board. The available product information does not specify the individual materials or fastening details.
Blue 15 x 54-Inch Standard Cover
Best for: Owners of a standard board measuring 15 x 54 inches who want a blue cover and pad. The supplied listing identifies the size and color, making this a possible choice for a narrower board that is near 54 inches long.
Limitation: The product details provided do not state its padding thickness, fabric, fastening system, or resistance features. Its dimensions also do not reach 150 x 55 cm, so confirm your board’s measurements before selecting it.
Buying Guide: How to Choose a 150 x 55 cm Cover
What size cover fits a 150 x 55 cm board?
A 150 x 55 cm ironing surface is approximately 59 x 21.7 inches. Compare both measurements with the manufacturer’s stated fit range, not just the cover’s general label. A cover that is too short may leave the board exposed; one that is too narrow may not wrap securely around the edges.
Should I choose a slightly smaller cover?
Do not assume a smaller cover will stretch to fit. Elastic or straps can help secure a cover only within its intended size range. Of the listed options, Dalykate is closest in width, but its stated maximum length of 57 inches is still below 59 inches.
Which features matter for everyday ironing?
- Padding: Fiber or foam layers provide a padded surface. Whitmor and Dalykate list padding up to 6 mm.
- Fastening: Elastic edges and hook-and-loop straps are intended to reduce shifting. Whitmor and GORILLA GRIP list these features.
- Surface properties: Some options describe heat reflection or resistance to scorching and stains. Compare the listed claims with your ironing needs.
- Board shape: Measure the usable length and width, and consider whether the board has a tapered end that affects the fit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is 150 x 55 cm the same as 59 x 21.7 inches?
Approximately. Converting the dimensions gives about 59.1 x 21.7 inches.
Will a 21 x 57-inch cover fit a 150 x 55 cm board?
Not according to its stated dimensions alone. It is about two inches shorter than the board’s 59-inch length, so it is not a confirmed fit.
What should I measure before ordering?
Measure the ironing surface at its longest and widest points. Compare both measurements with the cover’s stated fit range, including any specified allowance for wrapping around the board.
Does the ironing board come with these covers?
The Dalykate listing explicitly says the ironing board is not included. Check each product listing for package contents before ordering.
