Buying Guide
What to consider when choosing 5 oz rocks glasses
- Capacity accuracy: Look for calibrated or clearly labeled 5 oz measurements to ensure consistent pours.
- Base stability: A thick, heavy base reduces tipping and helps with balance when swirling spirits.
- Durability: Lead-free glass is common; consider thickness and whether the glass is shatter-resistant for daily use.
- Stackability: If you store many glasses, choose a design that stacks neatly without wobbling.
- Bulk value: Bulk packs save money for frequent hosts, bars, or events, but ensure packaging protects against breakage.
- Versatility: A glass that works for whiskey, espresso, and cocktails offers more value for mixed use.
How to care for 5 oz rocks glasses
- Hand washing vs. machine washing: Check for dishwasher safety; heavy bases can tolerate gentle cycles but may chip if stacked aggressively.
- Storage: Use padded racks or soft liners to prevent scratches on the glass surface.
- Handling: Use two hands for lifting heavy-base glasses to maintain grip and prevent slipping.
