The best square bar stool seat covers are the ones that match your seat’s length, width, and thickness. For a small set, the two-piece rectangle stretch covers are a relevant option; for four stools, consider FUANGUI’s four-piece set. SearchI specifically lists bar chairs among compatible chair types and gives seat measurements. The other options focus on stretch, waterproofing, or washable fabric, so check their sizing and shape before ordering.

Stool Covers Rectangle, 2PCS Stretch
Best for: Buyers who need covers for two rectangle-shaped stools. The product name identifies a two-piece set and stretch construction, making it a direct match for shoppers seeking fitted covers rather than loose pads.
Choose this if your stool seats are rectangular and you want a stretch-style cover. The listing information provided does not specify dimensions, fabric composition, or care instructions. Measure the seat before ordering; avoid choosing it based on the word “rectangle” alone if your stool has a distinctly square or unusually thick cushion.
FUANGUI Stretch Bar Stool Covers, Set of 4
Best for: Households covering four stools. The product name specifies both a set of four and stretch construction, useful when outfitting a matching group of seats.
Choose this if you need a multi-cover set and your stools can accommodate stretch covers. The supplied product information does not include seat measurements or material details, so confirm fit information on the product listing before purchase. It may be a poor choice if your stool seats are far outside the cover’s stated size range.
Smiry Waterproof Dining Chair Seat Covers
Best for: Buyers prioritizing protection from spills. Smiry describes a waterproof coating and TPU membrane backing, plus a soft, stretchy jacquard fabric. Elastic edges secure the cover, and the rear-gapped design allows installation without removing a chair cushion.
The listing says these covers fit most chairs and specifically excludes chairs with arms. The product is described as a dining chair cover, so check the seat measurements and shape before using it on a square bar stool. Choose it for liquid protection only if the cover’s fit is confirmed for your seat.
SearchI Waterproof PU Leather Seat Covers
Best for: Shoppers who want a wipe-clean-style material and can match the listed dimensions. SearchI describes high-stretch faux PU leather, waterproof fabric, and a non-slip elastic bottom with drawstrings. The listing names bar chairs among the intended chair types.
The stated fit is for cushions 15–18 inches long, 15–18 inches wide, and 1–2.5 inches thick. Measure all three dimensions before selecting this option. Its four-pack is useful for multiple seats, but it may not fit stools with cushions outside that range.
Genina Washable Stretch Seat Covers
Best for: Buyers looking for soft, stretchy fabric with a fitted fastening. Genina lists a blend of 92% polyester and 8% spandex, a rhombic jacquard pattern, and a retractable belt with buttons. The listing identifies the covers as washable.
The stated seat range is 16–20 inches long and wide, with cushion thickness of 1.5–2.7 inches. These dimensions make measuring essential for bar stool use. The product is presented as a dining chair cover, so verify the fit on a square stool rather than assuming all seat shapes are interchangeable.
Buying Guide: How to Choose Square Bar Stool Covers
How do you measure a square stool seat?
Measure the seat from side to side in both directions, then measure cushion thickness. For a square seat, the length and width may be similar, but do not assume they are identical. Compare your measurements with the product’s stated range and check whether the cover is designed for a cushion or an uncovered seat.
Should you choose stretch, waterproof, or faux leather?
Stretch fabric can help a cover fit snugly, but only within its intended size range. Waterproof construction is relevant for frequent spills, while faux leather is an option when the product’s listed material and care needs suit your household. Confirm cleaning instructions rather than assuming that every cover is machine washable.
How many covers should you buy?
Match the pack count to the number of stools you want to cover. The listed choices include two-piece and four-piece options. A larger set can simplify covering a group, while a two-piece pack may be more suitable for a pair. Check that each stool has compatible dimensions before buying a set.
